No Ceasefire, No Fuel For Gaza Until Hostages Freed: Benjamin Netanyahu

The Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, declared on Tuesday that the release of hostages seized by Palestinian groups is a prerequisite for fuel delivery to Gaza and any ceasefire with Hamas.

In a televised statement commemorating the first month of the Israel-Hamas war, Netanyahu also cautioned Iran-backed Hezbollah against opening a new front in the conflict from its Lebanese base, stating that it would be a grave mistake. The war began on October 7 when Islamist fighters from Gaza infiltrated southern Israel.

Israel claims that Hamas militants were responsible for the deaths of approximately 1,400 individuals, predominantly innocent civilians, and the abduction of over 240 hostages. This incident is regarded as the most severe assault on the nation since its establishment in 1948.

Israel has initiated a severe attack on Hamas in the Palestinian enclave it governs, which is inhabited by approximately 2.4 million individuals.

The health ministry, which is controlled by Hamas, has reported that over 10,300 individuals, mostly civilians, have been killed by Israel’s aggressive actions. As the conflict enters its second month, there has been a growing demand for a ceasefire or “pause” in the fighting from the international community. However, Netanyahu has stated that there will be no gasoline allowed to enter and no ceasefire until our hostages are released.
